Jude’s is a fully self-contained single bedroom villa, owned by The Otis Foundation and named after Judy Burley, inspiration for the Foundation. The unique rammed earth villa is part of a private double complex with Hannah’s, separated by a purpose-designed internal courtyard. The property features ceiling to floor windows throughout, offering views of the countryside.
This architecturally designed home for two, is constructed from eco-friendly materials of rammed earth, wood and glass that blend into the natural landscape. This light-filled retreat has been designed for comfort and relaxation - featuring a wood heater and floor to ceiling windows that frame the views of the surrounding National Park, offering a place to relax and unwind.
Located within the Mandurang Valley, Jude’s is nestled on the edge of the State Forest, just ten minutes away from the historic city of Bendigo, regional Victoria’s cultural hub.
Accommodation
Jude’s was made for two. The house has a generous bedroom with a super king bed (that can be split into two king single beds if preferred), a bathroom and an enclosed, outdoor-seating nook to capture those sunny afternoons. There is also an adjacent carer’s unit that sleeps one - subject to availability, upon request.
Availability
Jude’s is open for bookings from February - early December each year and is subject to availability. The villa can be booked for four nights from Monday to Friday, or three nights from Friday to Monday.
Due to high demand, we are unlikely to be able to accommodate requests for specific dates.
Heating and cooling
Due to the rammed earth material and clever design, Jude’s stays cool in summer and warm in winter, however, there are ceiling fans in the living areas for the warmer months and a split system for both heating and cooling. There is also a wood fire heater with wood available for use in the cooler months.

Situated in a magnificent rural setting on the outskirts of Bendigo in the picturesque Mandurang Valley, in the heart of Victoria. It is within the ‘Goldfields Region’ approximately 150km north-west of Melbourne (90min drive).

Testimonials
What a wonderful facility and to have such an opportunity after my 18 month journey through breast cancer, leaves me speechless. So tranquil, spacious, clean, and catered for all needs. My batteries have been recharged and I'm now ready to move forward with my positive healthy life.
Lying here on our last night at Jude's, Mandurang and looking out on the moonlight on the gum trees through floor to ceiling windows. This place is special - you can feel the energies swirling all around. We loved Bendigo and all it's arty pleasures too!
