Gift a Night this Christmas - appeal launched

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

The OTIS Foundation’s annual “Gift a Night” Christmas appeal has been kick-started by a generous donation from medical imaging clinics, High St Xray and Shepparton Nuclear Medicine.

In lieu of giving material gifts of thanks to their referrers, Customer Relationship Managery, Cindy Clarkson, said that they had chosen to redirect that spending to support women with breast cancer to stay at an OTIS property, “This is the third year running we have decided to forgo the traditional gift giving to our suppliers and make a more meaningful contribution.

“There is so much wastage over Christmas and by supporting The OTIS Foundation we have been able to cover the cost of providing 100 nights for people dealing with breast cancer to stay at an OTIS retreat.” Ms Clarkson said.

OTIS Foundation General Manager said the Gift a Night Christmas appeal was one of the most important fundraisers for the charity, “Each $50 donated allows The OTIS Foundation to provide one night at one of our 36 properties to someone who needs it most, by covering the costs associated with cleaning and linen.

“Each donation is issued with a certificate which can be personalised to give to friends and family acknowledging the unique gift you have donated in their honour. This generous gift from High St Xray and Shepparton Nuclear Medicinwill allow more guests to relax, reconnect and create special memories with family and friends in a beautiful environment.” Mrs Mason said

The OTIS Foundation currently has 36 retreats across five states available at no cost to women living with breast cancer and their families.
