Bendigo Women Celebrate Mother’s Day in Style

Tuesday, May 5, 2015

This year will mark the biggest ever attendance for the OTIS Foundation’s annual Mother’s Day Luncheon at the Bendigo Jockey Club.

On Thursday 7 May, more than 200 guests will attend Bendigo’s most celebrated Mother’s Day Luncheon. It will be an opportunity for Bendigo’s corporate community to come together and celebrate Mother’s Day and the women that are most important to them. The event will feature emotional presentations from Karlee Thorpe and Emily Gray. Karlee will talk about her breast cancer experience and the benefits of her OTIS retreat stay. Emily will share what it means building Kez’s Hideaway in memory of her mother, Kerri Gray.

OTIS Foundation Events and Fundraising Manager, Rachel Mason said “We are honored to have Bendigo’s Margot Spalding MC the event, as well as these inspiring speakers. There is no doubt it will be an extremely emotional day”.

The event will also be used as an opportunity to announce Karlee Thorpe’s new role as an OTIS Ambassador, supported by the Bendigo Bank, a major partner of the OTIS Foundation. “OTIS is extremely pleased with the Bendigo Bank's decision to support Karlee to work one day a week in its office to further strengthen its relationship with the Bank”. Mrs. Mason said.

Luncheon attendees will also delight in hearing Alana Conway and be provided an opportunity to purchase a number of unique auction items including, a hat belonging to Dame Quentin Bryce, the Former Governor-General of Australia.
